CE/UKCA

The CE mark is developed by the European Committee for Standardization.

CE marking is a key indicator of a product’s compliance with EU legislation and enables the free movement of products within the European Union. By affixing the CE marking on a product, a manufacturer is declaring conformity with all of the legal requirements to achieve CE marking and therefore ensuring validity for that product to be sold throughout the European Economic Area.

For construction materials the CE marking guarantees that the manufacturer meets safety requirements set by the European Directives.

The UKCA trademark is an important mark that indicates that the product has been manufactured in accordance with UK law and ensures that the product can be marketed freely throughout the UK. If the product bears the UKCA label, it means that the manufacturer has met all the requirements of standard EN 14081-1: 2005 + A1: 2011 for its use.

When using the UKCA marking on construction materials, the manufacturer confirms that they comply with all safety regulations required by EN 14081-1: 2005 + A1: 2011.

AKZ is certified for both CE and UKCA marking which enables our timber to be sold in all EU markets and the UK with the relevant products dual stamped as illustrated.
