AKZ Anti-bribery and Corruption Policy

1. Introduction

SIA AKZ (AKZ) has a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption. AKZ Anti-bribery and Corruption Policy (the Policy) requires compliance with all applicable laws and regulations on bribery and corruption. The purpose of the Policy is to outline and explain the prohibitions against bribery and corruption in all operations of AKZ.

2. AKZ commitments

AKZ never offers, gives, requests or accepts a bribe. Bribery includes giving anything (even of low value) to influence a third party to perform their job improperly or to influence their decision, or as a reward for doing any of the above.

AKZ never authorises nor allows any employee or third party working with or for AKZ, such as a contractor or business partner, to pay bribes on AKZ’s behalf.

3. How to avoid corruption

Employees must adopt their own zero-tolerance policy toward all forms of corruption, including bribery, kickbacks and facilitation payments. Employees can do this by carrying out the following actions:

• never offering, paying, requesting or receiving bribes or “kickbacks”;
• never getting involved in any fraudulent or dishonest activity;
• never authorizing any corrupt activity or behaviour, nor turning a blind eye to potentially corrupt behaviour by subordinates or third parties acting on AKZ’s behalf;
• avoid gifts, favours and entertainment that could in any way influence, or appear to influence, business decisions in favour of the provider or recipient.

4. Application

The Policy applies to all our operations, our employees and our business partners. Where AKZ does not have operating control, we encourage our partners to demonstrate the commitments reflected in the Policy. 

Any employee who has a question about the Policy or has any concerns regarding perceived deviations from the Policy, should promptly contact his / her direct manager or senior management. Alternatively, we encourage reporting via the procedure described in the AKZ Whistleblowing Policy.

5. Policy Changes

AKZ reserves the right to make any amendments to the Policy without prior notice.
